The catalogue for Arqana's February Mixed Sale, which comprises 375 horses and takes place on Feb. 15 and 16, has been released.
Among those expected to draw attention are the fillies out of training, GIII Long Island S. winner Lady Paname (Fr) (Soldier Of Fortune {Ire}) (lot 160), G3 Prix Vanteaux third Lady Te (Ger) (Tertullian) (lot 253), and the G3 Prix Imprudence third Jet Setteuse (Fr) (Makfi {GB}) (lot 315).
Highlights among the broodmares include the listed-winning Oh Beautiful (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) (lot 148) from the family of Halfway To Heaven (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}) and her Group 1-winning daughters Magical (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Rhododendron (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in foal to Shalaa (Ire); Ingot Of Gold (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) (lot 165), a half-sister to the listed-winning Rhagori (GB) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}) in foal to Almanzor (Fr); Leaf Blower (Hat Trick {Jpn}) (lot 238), a full-sister to multiple Grade III winner Tricky Escape carrying her second foal by Caravaggio; Pebbles Place (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}) (lot 258), a full-sister to the Group 2-placed juvenile Maxi Boy (GB) from the family of Group 1 winners Earthlight (Ire) (Shamardal), Mandaean (Ire) (Manduro {Ger}) and Wavering (Ire) (Refuse To Bend {Ire}) in foal to Phoenix Of Spain (Ire); and the winning Princess Isla (GB) (Frankel {GB}) (lot 309), a 5-year-old granddaughter of the excellent producer Peinture Bleue in foal to Ten Sovereigns (Ire).
There will also be horses in training, yearlings and 2-year-olds offered. Five wildcards are available for the horses in training and broodmare sections. The sale will be conducted under strict COVID safety protocols and attendance will be limited to those attending in a professional capacity.
